He is South Tyrol's best-known auditor, busy real estate developer, passionate art collector - and René Benko's last governor. Who is the rich and influential Heinz Peter Hager, who, like Benko, has now been placed under house arrest by the public prosecutor's office on suspicion of being part of a criminal organization? Krone+ clarifies. 

While René Benko's empire lies in ruins and his huge real estate projects have been halted everywhere, 65-year-old Hager, head of Signa Italia, assured in an interview with "Krone" that he still has everything under control. His projects in South Tyrol and Northern Italy are fully financed, all invoices are being paid on time and construction is continuing apace. This also applies to the project close to his heart, the "WaltherPark" in Bolzano - Krone+ reported.
