After more than 50 years
Why the cult sausage stand has to close for good

Never again "Burenheidl" or Frankfurter! A circumstance that would probably have made Emperor Franz I blush, as he once declared the latter to be his favorite dish after tasting it. Two centuries later, another "emperor" now has to close down his cult sausage stand.
Another piece of Linz's cultural heritage is thus lost. For more than 50 years, sausage lovers young and old, hackers and suit wearers alike have enjoyed Debreziners, Käsekrainers and co. at the location between Keferfeld and Untergaumberg - but now it's the end of the road. The sausage stand will no longer be run as such. But not, as is unfortunately often the case in gastronomy these days, because the staff or the guests are staying away.
