Fear for existence
Long wait for verdict from administrative court
The town is proud of its agriculture. However, farmer Martin Gstaltner's business is being made unnecessarily difficult. That is why his case has ended up before the administrative court. And this court is overloaded anyway, as the rough report of the new annual report shows. Even though the situation has improved since the pandemic, there are still citizens who are waiting far longer than six months for a ruling.
Martin Gstaltner (29) is a farmer with heart and soul. He grows wheat, mustard, potatoes and much more on his fields in Stammersdorf. In addition to supplying wholesalers, he also runs an old construction trailer where the fresh produce can be bought.
MA 22 gets in the way
Gstaltner farms 150 hectares together with his uncle. He now needs a new 500 square meter hall to store the equipment and vegetables. And he wanted to build this on his property. MA 58 (agriculture), MA 19 (urban design) and the building police gave their blessing, but the environmental magistrate objected.
