A shortage of priests is a crucial test for parishes

Fewer and fewer pastors have to look after more and more places. In order to fill the gaps, dioceses have to keep transferring priests. As is currently the case in Tyrol. There is uproar among the people of the church because popular priests have to leave. This has far-reaching consequences.

It is a vicious circle in which the Catholic Church finds itself. More and more people are turning away from the institution. And those who stay are increasingly losing their most important local reference person: the priest.
