The fat years are over, the Austrian drinking culture is changing, or rather on the decline. Young people are drinking significantly less alcohol than before. Club operators can only speculate about the reasons... 

Well-known faces flaunt their healthy lifestyle on social networks. No alcohol, but more fitness and smoothies. Abstaining from alcohol stands for self-control and a clear head. For many, it's not about dogmatic abstinence, but about drinking more consciously. According to the motto "Sober is the new cool", binge drinking is often a thing of the past, even among the younger generation in Austria.
