A 20-year-old in Wiener Neustadt received four years in prison (not legally binding) as the main perpetrator in an unusual crime. On June 15, 2023, the Serbian Leonardo R. and 17-year-old Marcel V. - who was given 18 months in prison - forcibly gained access to their victim's apartment in Vienna-Simmering. What began as a dispute over intimate photos degenerated into a sadistic act.

The tenant had been with his girlfriend before the accused. Leonardo suspected that the man had saved intimate photos and videos of the woman on his smartphone. At gunpoint, they forced her former boyfriend to unlock his phone and reset it to factory settings. But this was only the beginning of a two-hour ordeal for the slight victim.
