Christa Kummer has been presenting the TV "Weather" for an incredible 30 years. This makes her a familiar constant for many viewers. The "Krone" spoke to her about ORF's rejuvenation program, the departure of prominent colleagues, her Burgenland roots, her former job and climate change.

But because the qualified secondary school teacher was already working as a research assistant at the Institute for Karst and Cave Research in her mid-20s alongside her full teaching duties and was studying karst hydrology and climatology during her dissertation studies, everything turned out very differently 30 years ago.
