Why a pay-TV provider is suing a sports club
It was supposed to be a cozy evening in the clubhouse, but ended up in court for a sports club. After a championship match, a player took his laptop out of the car and connected it to the club's own TV set. They were watching soccer on a streaming platform when an inspector suddenly arrived.
"There is only one possibility: win, lose or draw," soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer once said. The outcome of this match between a Mühlviertel soccer club and a pay-TV provider remains to be seen. It will not be played out on the pitch, but before the court. The first rounds went to the soccer club, but back to the kick-off:
