These are the eight trends: how we’ll be vacationing in the future

Do you still literally go to a travel agency and book a vacation to a specific destination? According to surveys, this will have changed completely by 2030 at the latest: City hopping and bookings via social mediaare just some of the new trends. Don't believe it? Then read on!

"One-way vacations" are out. Now it's all about "feedbooking" and spiritual experiences: "In the future, trips will be booked in the social feed, planned by AI agents, spread over several destinations away from mass tourism and offer maximum opportunities for wellness and self-discovery," says the travel search portal Kayak. 

Together with the future consulting institute "The Future Laboratory", the search engine has identified a total of eight trends based on a global survey with 9100 participants, which should reflect our vacation behavior by 2030. 

Above all, everything should become "simpler and more exciting" for holidaymakers. According to this, a whole new generation of travel providers will emerge that focus on individual vacations. We have listed the eight trends for you below:
