Twins got new eyes at the age of four

Amra and Besma have suffered from cataracts since birth and their eyesight deteriorated over time. During an operation at the Kepler University Hospital in Linz, the four-year-old girls were fitted with artificial lenses. The case is rare: Only four in 10,000 children are affected by the eye disease.

Amra and Besma are four years old - and yet the twins are discovering the world all over again. The two girls suffered from cataracts, so they recently had artificial lenses fitted at the Kepler University Hospital (KUK) in Linz.
