“This defeat must be a wake-up call for us all”

After a poor start to the spring with a 3:1 home defeat against WAC, Rapid's heads are spinning. The most recent league record is alarming: the Hütteldorfer have picked up just seven points from their last seven matches. Sporting director Markus Katzer criticizes, but does not put pressure on the team.

The mood killer returned to Hütteldorf on Saturday: the barometer plummeted to freezing point with the 1:3 defeat against WAC. A setback that has occurred far too often in the west of Vienna in recent years and which coach Robert Klauß has already experienced - see the last 16 defeat in the ÖFB Cup against Stripfing last October.
