They are particularly popular as Christmas presents: Wellness time-outs or vouchers for them. But what does wellness actually mean and is every small establishment with a steam bath already a spa resort? Are there guidelines as to when you can call yourself a wellness hotel? Krone+ asked for you!

Surprising, but that's the truth: There is "no standardized definition" of what a wellness hotel is in Austria, according to the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ).
