US President Donald Trump has set his mind on buying Greenland. Now he is sending his son Donald Jr. on an exploratory mission to the island, which belongs to Denmark, "purely privately" of course. Krone+ explains what's behind Trump's weird obsession with Greenland.
Since Tuesday, the bizarre saga surrounding Donald Trump's interest in acquiring the world's largest island has been enriched by another facet. Presidential son Donald Trump Jr. (47) has traveled to Greenland for a short trip to meet locals, visit cultural sites and record material for videos and podcasts. Trump Jr. told Fox News: "As someone who has traveled to some fascinating places around the world as a nature lover, I'm looking forward to stopping in Greenland this week to have some fun." The Greenlandic government, on the other hand, is not much fun.
