Mummified child’s body was found in a school basement

This horrific discovery leaves no one indifferent: during renovation work on Thursday, a partly mummified, partly skeletonized child's body was found in the basement of the Secondary School for Sport and Integration (SIMS) in Vöcklabruck. The small skeleton was in a container. The State Office of Criminal Investigation has taken over the investigation.

The school management informed the police immediately after the terrible discovery, as did the education directorate. The Upper Austrian State Office of Criminal Investigation, Department of Life and Limb - the murder squad - is investigating.
