Carinthian tourism hopes for a strong winter season

Tourism in Carinthia is still not gaining momentum this year. October also brought a minus compared to the previous year. "The problems start with the businesses, continue through the tourism organizations and end with politics," complains even the chairman of the division. 

The golden years of Carinthian tourism were some time ago - the last overnight stay records were set almost 30 years ago. Tourism professionals complain that there is a lack of new visions to lure guests back to Lake Wörthersee or the mountains. However, there are also rays of hope: Turrach scores with innovative approaches and many businesses are hoping for winter.
