New care leave: What now applies to whom

Cold and flu season! It's easy to catch something again at the moment. And especially for parents or children whose parents are no longer able to cope on their own, the question of who will take over care in the event of an emergency arises again. The new care leave has at least made things a little easier.

With care leave, you get paid time off to provide the necessary care for a sick person: What was previously only possible to a limited extent now applies in principle to all persons with whom you live in the same household and also to close relatives outside the shared household.
