"I will not be a dictator - only on day one." This announcement by Donald Trump on a Fox News TV show sounded like a threat. But what does the 78-year-old really have in mind? An overview of the possible and the impossible.

The 78-year-old, who will become the first convicted felon in US history to move into the White House after his inauguration on January 20, 2025, says he has a lot to do on his first day back in office. He can do most of this through so-called "executive orders", i.e. presidential decrees, without the approval of Congress.
