Tyrolean tourism takes stock after the summer: cloudy weather and the European Football Championships in Germany slowed things down, but the 0.9 percent drop in overnight stays is very manageable. The economic engine is grinding to a halt, the Christmas vacations are already well booked for the coming season, but question marks remain.
From May to September, 20.3 million guests stayed overnight in Tirol. October is still missing for the final summer balance, but the small minus mentioned will probably not turn into a plus.
