After fatal poaching: two fawns are orphans

It is unclear whether the two baby deer can survive after their mother was poached. In any case, the hunters of the Lengau hunting area in Upper Austria are now keeping a close eye on them. The cost of the killed doe will be charged to the perpetrators. It is suspected that they shot numerous other animals.

The older (63) of the two suspected poachers from Lengau greeted the police and hunting colleagues on Monday night with freshly washed hands. However, his attempts to wash his hands of the crime failed, as the doe that had been illegally shot in the head in a foreign hunting ground was lying in the wood store on his farm.
