Glimmer of hope for patients with Long Covid

Patients suffering from the long-term effects of a viral disease have often not felt adequately treated or taken seriously in the past. This is set to change with the national reference center for post-viral syndromes. Krone + spoke to the two directors.

The disease after the disease, such as Long Covid or ME/CFS. Nothing is as it was before. Life is now only bearable in darkened rooms, with noise-cancelling headphones, no strength left to walk. It's impossible to go back to a daily routine or even work. Then there is the battle with the authorities - and the search for a doctor who knows the ropes. The ombudswoman knows this from letters from numerous people affected.
