Charge in Klagenfurt

Fecal water is now a case for the public prosecutor!

It has now been two weeks since there has been no drinking water in parts of Klagenfurt. While the municipal utilities continue to search for the cause of the contamination with faecal bacteria, the public prosecutor's office also has to take action - the first criminal charges relating to the water have been filed.

It was only a matter of time before the water scandal in the state capital turned into an investigation. Because there are still too many inconsistencies surrounding the contamination, its cause and how it was handled.
