For around six months now, Austria's top criminal police officer Dieter Csefan has been coordinating the fight against juvenile crime in Vienna and beyond. He took stock with the "Krone" newspaper - about successes, surprises, new developments and what is really needed to combat the problems.

Dieter Csefan doesn't really like the title of Ministerial Councillor. Austria's top criminal investigator prefers to see himself as one of many police officers in the field, including in his interim assessment after around six months as head of the youth crime task force.
