It's high season on the Grossglockner. Although the conditions are perfect, it is quieter than in previous years. A "Bergkrone" report directly from the roof of Austria. 

"The 'Glockner walking' has improved again," says mountain guide Toni Sauper happily, as the crowds that used to push their way through the Eisleitl up to the Kleinglockner and over the ridge to the Kaiserkreuz are fortunately no longer there. Nevertheless, Austria's highest mountain has lost none of its appeal.
