Marvel star: Death from rare appendix cancer

Hollywood mourns the loss of Adan Canto. The Mexican actor, known from the Marvel series "X-Men", died of appendix cancer at the age of 42. Krone+ asked the Viennese intestinal specialist Dr. Friedrich Weiser what is behind this tumor disease. 

Malignant tumors of the appendix occur very rarely, but can be treacherous, as the death of action star Adan Canto shows. "This cancer is usually only discovered as an incidental finding," reports Dr. Friedrich A. Weiser from the Medico Chirurgicum health insurance center in Vienna-Liesing, and the treatment of the carcinoma depends on which section of the appendix it is located in.
