A nightmare start instead of a dream vacation: a 75-year-old man actually wanted to transport his suitcase and important medication as hand luggage, but his wish was denied. The suitcase was lost and the medication had to be replaced for 300 euros. There was no reimbursement - the "Krone" knows why.

It was supposed to be a relaxed city trip, but ended in a tedious "mud fight" with an airline: a 75-year-old man from Linz wanted to spend four days in the Portuguese capital Lisbon with three friends at the end of May. The flight with TAP Air Portugal departed from Vienna Airport and was to be taken with hand luggage due to the short duration of the vacation.
