Innsbruck: Cellar in flames – compressor on fire

Dangerous operation for the Innsbruck professional fire department on Saturday afternoon! A fire had broken out in the cellar of a house. Using heavy breathing protection, the firefighters were able to prevent the worst from happening.

Shortly before 3 p.m., the city fire department was called to a tricky operation in the Wilten district. Smoke was pouring out of a cellar. Wearing heavy breathing protection, the firefighters made their way into the room where the fire had started.

Compressor probably started the fire
According to the police, the fire in the house was probably caused by the control unit of a compressor. The damage is likely to amount to several thousand euros. Fortunately, no one was injured.
