Borrowing instead of buying: The library of things

Here you don't borrow books, but everyday items for one-off use. An active contribution to climate protection, an alternative approach to the exploitation of our planet's raw materials.  

The bestseller is the bestseller in the lending library, in the Library of Things it is the drill. The bestseller can be bought, as can the drill. But does everyone really need to own every single thing? The bestseller that you only read once? The drill that you only need for an afternoon to hang three pictures?

Borrowing books has long been standard practice. So why not with things too? Students at the Boku in Vienna asked themselves this question, developed a concept and didn't want to leave it at theory.
