Cannabis: How much it damages our heart and brain

Until now, only a few medical studies have looked at how marijuana affects the heart and circulation. US researchers have now made up for this. And the study confirms what Manfred Walzl, a doctor from Graz, has been preaching for years: "Cannabis is a great danger. Trivializing its use is a big mistake!" 

The consequences of cannabis use can be particularly devastating for children, teenagers and young adults. The brain develops until around the age of 25 and is particularly sensitive to the substance THC. Even short-term use can therefore have psychological, physical and social consequences, experts warn. However, it is not only young people, but also older people who are at an increased health risk.
