The object that 19-year-old Daniel Moosbrugger brings to the interview, the memory that has grown close to his heart, is a microphone. "This is the first microphone I ever bought. It cost 35 euros back then. I was twelve years old. I love producing music myself. I started out with drum 'n' bass, an electronic music genre that emerged in the early 90s. But I was always a big fan of hip-hop and started making my own beats. That wasn't enough for me in the long run. I wanted to tell a story, so the path to rap wasn't far away. I then recorded the raps with this microphone."
