War of the streamers: Who should subscribe to all this?
If you want to watch everything, you have to subscribe to everything: According to this motto, video streaming providers are distributing their programs across more and more portals, each of which can be subscribed to for around ten euros per month. The big players Amazon, Disney and Netflix are trying to steal users away from each other with exclusive content, while smaller providers such as Paramount+ or Apple TV+ are following in their footsteps. For customers, this is one thing above all: annoying and expensive.
Users are caught between the fronts in the "streaming wars". While they can cover everything with one service for music, there is no all-in-one service in sight for video streaming. At best, there is an oligopoly of three US companies, each of which wants around ten euros a month. And from everyone who uses the service: Netflix recently took action against "account sharing" as a cost-cutting measure, and Disney has similar plans.
