If a German woman has her way, Carinthian cows are particularly brutal. The woman was attacked and seriously injured by an animal while hiking in the Grossglockner region. She wanted compensation for pain and suffering, as has become customary in such cases. But the court surprisingly decided otherwise!

The fronts were hardened: The 59-year-old German woman and her husband, both shocked by the unexpected attack by a grazing animal in the Pasterzen area, and the farmer from Heiligenblut, who had driven his mother cows up to the mountain pasture and is not aware of any guilt: "The Alps are not a Disneyland where nothing can happen to you, madam! And cows are not malicious animals per se!" said his lawyer Alexander Jelly.

The accident at an altitude of around 2000 meters kept the Klagenfurt regional court under Judge Astrid Semlitsch busy for several months. What had happened?
