More supply slows down price rally for pellets

High energy prices have not spared the pellets industry. In an interview with "Krone", the new ProPellets CEO Doris Stiksl explains why raw material prices have risen so much, how they are now trending downwards and what she advises heating customers to do.

Distortions on the energy markets caused pellet prices to skyrocket in 2022 and 2023. In the meantime, however, prices are clearly falling again: "Prices have already fallen several times in a row," emphasizes Doris Stiksl. The Styrian is the new head of ProPellets and succeeds Christian Rakos after 19 years. In the long term, the savings effect is great.
