Austria to kick off European Championship qualifiers against Germany!

Austria's women's national soccer team will kick off their European Championship qualifying campaign with a home match against Germany on April 5! 

UEFA announced the match schedule on Thursday, and the ÖFB will also announce the kick-off times and venues on Friday.

After the opener against the Germans, the ÖFB women will continue in the top division in Pool A4 on April 9 with an away match in Poland. This will be followed by a double-header against Iceland on May 31 (home) and June 4 (away). The group stage will be completed in July shortly before or after the final of the men's European Championship in Germany (July 14). The Austrians will host Poland on July 12, while team manager Irene Fuhrmann's team will play in Germany on July 16.

The top two teams in the group secure their ticket to the 2025 European Championship finals in Switzerland ahead of time. The third and fourth-placed teams will have to face teams from lower divisions in a two-stage play-off in the fall.
