Wealth is unevenly distributed in Austria - the rich are getting richer, while poverty is on the rise. Is it time for higher wealth taxes? Yes, at least according to Momentum CEO Barbara Blaha and ÖGB Federal Managing Director Willi Mernyi, who recently visited the country.

"The many in Austria have to fight over a few crumbs. And the rich have more cake than they can stuff themselves with in a lifetime," ÖGB Federal Managing Director Willi Mernyi shouted to the audience in the packed J.J. Ender Hall in Mäder. Together with the head of the Momentum Institute, Barbara Blaha, he took a look behind the scenes of the Austrian tax system during the discussion evening.
