Here the yes-word doesn’t last a lifetime after all

Many households no longer celebrate their wedding anniversary together. A look at the statistics shows that people in the cities of Steyr and Wels were particularly motivated to get divorced in 2022. In other districts in Upper Austria, the chances of a long and happy marriage seem to be particularly good.

"I will love, respect and honor you all the days of my life, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health." The words actually sound quite simple. But putting them into practice is written on a completely different piece of paper. In view of today's Marriage Day and the upcoming Valentine's Day (February 14), the "Krone" newspaper took a look at the districts in Upper Austria where saying "I do" really still has eternal significance.
