We are all "glued" to our smartphones too much - but the distraction is particularly dangerous for children and young people. Styrian compulsory schools can now ban cell phones. This has been common practice at a school in Seiersberg since 2017. The "Krone" took a look at how it works. 

Since mid-February, Styrian compulsory schools have been able to include a ban on cell phones in their house rules by decree - as we reported. This legally underpins what was already a reality in many schools in one form or another. At the de La Tour school run by Diakonie in Seiersberg near Graz, for example, no cell phones have been allowed since it opened in 2017.
