What we use our cell phones for at work

The smartphone has become a constant companion for most of us and is therefore always with us at work. But what do we actually use it for during this time and what impact does this have on our colleagues?

According to a recent survey by management consultants Deloitte, Austrians use their smartphones an average of 36 times a day. Assuming that we oversleep a good third of our day and are therefore "offline", statistically speaking we pull out our cell phones around twice every waking hour - including during working hours. But what is it actually for?
