TCG Unitech made this "offer" to its workforce: either you forgo the wage and salary increase stipulated in the collective agreement or you will be given notice of redundancy. At the beginning of November, the automotive supplier got serious and registered more than 880 employees for redundancy with the AMS early warning system. "Morally, it's madness," said Michael Seemayer, Managing Director of the PRO-GE trade union in Upper Austria, at the beginning of November when it became known that TCG Unitech was taking radical measures to avoid having to implement the 4.8 percent wage and salary increase stipulated in the collective agreement.
