Why a salt silo triggered a Cobra operation
Why does a pensioner attack his neighbors, injure a 58-year-old woman with a liquid and then barricade himself in the house before Cobra can persuade him to give up? The "Krone" investigated and everything revolves around a salt silo and a traffic circle in a dispute that has been going on for almost 20 years.
The couple (58, 60) who were famously threatened by their neighbor (76) and attacked with a kind of pepper spray in Lochen am See (Upper Austria) are now over the edge. This resulted in a large-scale operation and the arrest of the senior citizen by Cobra. "I don't want to say anything about it, otherwise things might escalate even more," says the 60-year-old, whose wife was slightly injured by the liquid.
