Cell phones end up in the “garage” before school starts

"Mobile phones at school as a risk: experts now call for a ban", was the headline in the "Krone" newspaper last Wednesday. At the polytechnic school in Ottensheim (Upper Austria), a regulation has already been in place since the start of school. Cell phones are also locked away during the break. The "Krone" was there.

Before the first lesson, there is a box on the teacher's desk, the pupils put their smartphones in it themselves and the "cell phone garage" is then locked in a compartment. It can be used for research purposes or during the lunch break or free periods.
