Municipality lacks money for kindergarten expansion
The Flachgau municipality of Seeham urgently needs more childcare places for its youngest children: the current kindergarten is bursting at the seams! One group has even been moved to the neighboring village. However, due to the lack of federal revenue shares and rising costs, the municipality cannot afford an extension.
The coming years will be tough for Salzburg's mayor. Due to falling federal revenue shares and rising costs, there will be a gaping hole in the municipal budgets in the future. And this will have an impact in many areas.
In the small Flachgau municipality of Seeham, for example, an almost finished plan for the urgently needed expansion of the kindergarten is on the table. The cost: 3.5 million euros net. However, the municipality cannot afford this.
