Train stations, schools, shopping centers, courts: bomb threats have kept the country on tenterhooks for more than a week. So far, no damage has been done - but the effort for the police is enormous, as they have to take the threats seriously. But what drives the anonymous perpetrators? A psychiatrist recognizes patterns.

Since September 30, hardly a day has gone by in Austria without the police receiving an anonymous bomb threat by e-mail. Following the mega police operations in Graz and Linz on Tuesday, where threats were made to detonate explosive devices in schools, the Vienna Provincial Court was the focus of a bomb threat on Wednesday.
