Klaus Mitterdorfer is currently experiencing turbulent times at the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), but they are characterized by progress. The president spoke to the "Krone" newspaper about reforms and the radical obstructionists, whom he criticizes in the strongest terms.
"Krone": Mr. Mitterdorfer, a letter from August 2023, in which you review the first months of your term of office, is currently causing a stir.
Klaus Mitterdorfer: All the contents have been known to the members of the Executive Committee for a long time. A completely one-sided, incomplete and now long outdated account of a strictly confidential topic from the first months of my term of office was leaked to the public by one side.
As a result of this publication, an attempt is now apparently being made to discredit the reputation of General Secretary Thomas Hollerer.
