So-called mayor lifts have a hard time in times like these. More and more are closing. After the Schneeberg lifts in Thiersee (Tyrolean district of Kufstein) were threatened with closure, many people got involved and now things are actually moving forward. 2.2 million euros are being invested so that local ski fans of all ages can continue to enjoy the fun on the slopes.
