One of Austria's most important places of worship is celebrating its anniversary. Innsbruck's St. Jakob Cathedral was consecrated 300 years ago as the city's parish church and has been a bishop's see for 60 years. Before the week of celebrations, the "Krone" was allowed to explore secret corners of the cathedral. 

It is a baroque jewel. It is the spiritual center and episcopal seat of the diocese of Innsbruck. It is a monumental landmark in the old town. It is a destination for many tourists and the scene of important Tyrolean festivities.
