This is how dangerous children are in road traffic

450 crashes on the way to school or home from school in 2023. A study, in the course of which the ÖAMTC equipped children, car drivers, truck drivers and cyclists with special hi-tech glasses, wanted to investigate where children look in traffic and how visible they are. The results are shocking!

Something can always happen when children are on the road. Our youngest children often don't even know the traffic rules yet, and they often run carelessly between parked cars or get distracted by colorful signs and posters, dogs or other people. Drivers of trucks, cars, motorcycles and even bicycles often complain that they simply overlook children because of their size.
