Successes and setbacks have always gone hand in hand for rowing ace Magdalena Lobnig. The "petrol station kid" from Völkermarkt likes to be behind the till - and will be competing at the Olympic Games for the third time in Paris. The credo for the Olympic bronze medal in Tokyo 2021: "Everything in Paris is an encore for me."

Minor injuries, breathing problems after an allergic reaction, coronavirus infections and Long Covid symptoms. This year in April, however, Magdalena Lobnig's medical history of recent years reached its climax - after a herniated disc in her neck, Olympia was extremely shaky.
