Holidaymaker was robbed in the middle of the highway

A 41-year-old woman from Upper Austria was on her way to Barcelona in her car when she was rudely stopped by con artists on the highway. One of the men cleverly distracted the victim, the other searched the car - as the shocked woman describes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also warns against this scam.

Charlotte R. from Linz has regularly traveled to Barcelona by car for love for seven years, but she will not soon forget her last trip. "I was stopped in the middle of the highway and robbed," the 41-year-old told the "Krone" newspaper. The woman was traveling alone with her two dogs.
