Bidstrup as strong as a bear – but one was even better

In a thrilling duel between the two best teams in Austria, champions Red Bull Salzburg beat cup winners Sturm Graz 1-0 in the Bundesliga top match. One of the keys to the Bulls' success was their defense, as the "Krone" individual review clearly shows.

Schlager 3
In the first half, a highly risky pass almost backfired. He was powerless to stop Gazibegovic's shot. All in all, a solid game in which he had nothing to keep out due to the lack of high-caliber shots from Sturm (zero shots on goal).

Daniliuc 4
With 76 ball contacts, he had the second most of all Salzburg players. A sign that he was well integrated into the game. His tackle rate of 73.3 percent was sensationally good, and he generally put in a strong performance as a substitute for stand-in captain Amar Dedic.

Solet 6
An outstanding game from the Frenchman, who was unbeatable in aerial duels and won three quarters of all duels. Solet cleared everything at the back, but was also repeatedly involved in the build-up play, for example with a brilliant pass to Fernando.

The Serbian "warrior" once again had the odd burst of energy in attack, in which he courageously joined in. Defensively, like his teammate Solet, he left little to chance and was instrumental in another clean sheet.

Guindo 5
Highest tackle rate (86.7 percent), most ball contacts (81) - this was one of his strongest performances in a Bulls jersey. He never allowed Böving to develop and also had Gazibegovic well under control on his few forays forward.

Gourna-Douath 4
Was an important factor in the build-up play, where he repeatedly dropped between Solet and Pavlovic. Also did very well as a six-man, plugged holes and was a bench player in front of the back four. However, he was provoked in the closing stages and was sent off, which means he is suspended for the Cup semi-final against Sturm.

Bidstrup 5
The "Styrian specialist" struck again. After celebrating his first professional goal against Hartberg, the Dane followed it up against Sturm. He gave Jaros no chance with a powerful shot into the far corner, making him the match-winner. Also remarkable: his sprint across the entire pitch to celebrate with the visiting fans. Received well-deserved applause from the Bulls supporters when he was substituted in stoppage time.

Kjaergaard 3
Played, as usual, on the left half position in midfield and did a very good job. His set-pieces were less effective this time than in previous weeks, but his performance was solid.

Gloukh 2
The Israeli was barely able to make an impact and only attracted attention in the first half due to a yellow card. He didn't take a single shot on goal and was stingy with the creative ideas that usually set him apart. He was therefore the first (with Fernando) to be sent off after 70 minutes.

Ratkov 2
He toiled and worked hard and put in an enormous amount of running. But he was not effective. On the contrary: the Serbian was completely harmless in attack and remained completely pale in comparison to Fernando.

Fernando 4
In the first half, the Bulls' attacking play ran exclusively through the Brazilian. The 25-year-old was involved in every dangerous situation and even a collision with Affengruber, which earned him a turban, did not stop him. He fired five shots. The only drawback: not a single one landed in the goal! The 25-year-old still needs to work on making the most of his chances. Perhaps he should get some tips from Bidstrup ...
