Assisted living and care in Vienna will have little to do with today's standards in 30 years' time. The city, the population, the demands and the lifestyle of tomorrow's senior citizens will be different. A house in Hietzing offers a glimpse into the future.

The big strategic shift has begun in Vienna's homes for living: All 30 locations are to be completely renovated or completely demolished and rebuilt by 2040, as care for the elderly and nursing care in Vienna are facing three huge challenges.
